Chinese fuckwit who's obviously followed "soccer" for no more than 3 years. Typical no nthing media mouthpiece who has no idea about any other teams apart from the "Big Four", or club's histories or traditions. Wanker.

Thanks Sky.

Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
"Not since the last century have West Ham spent three consecutive seasons outside the Premier League's bottom six"

Not since the last century is sensationalist claptrap, as it only involves 14 seasons.

By his own idiotic yardstick, that also incorporates a four year spell, where the club did finish outside of the bottom 6 for all that period, bar the one season, where we missed it by one single place.

A fucking idiot, assuming that everyone else meets their own personal yardstick of fucking idiocy.

So Allardyce's excuses for THIS season are ok then? Don't you realise we'll always under achieve with him here, and he'll always have a fucking pocket full of excuses ready for people like you to lap up.

Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
There will be a very long line of pundits queuing up to rub their hands with glee and say I told you so, if BFS goes and we're no better off.

You can take that to the nearest corrupt financial institution.

He's a fine manager and we would regret letting him go I believe myself.

So the football is "not actually that bad", according to Jonathan.

Probably just saw the games against Man City and Liverpool then (on TV of course). Probably never been to London even.

Stick to origami mate, or smashing a bag full of toads for your dinner.

Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
One thing the shit that gets written about Allardyce has taught me is never give a football fan an opinion on the manager of the club they support.

I've bitten my tongue when talking to Arsenal fans about them wanting Wenger out, for instance.

Outsiders don't follow a club's fortunes and misfortunes enough to make an informed opinion- especially as the quality of football journalism in a 24/7 rolling news world can be as poor as this article.

Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
Jonathan Lieuw is an appalling journalist; a snidey superiority complex-laden blowhard who understands little about the game of football and the nature of the fans while smugly enjoying all the perks and privilege that being in the media brings.

We all know that if (IF) WHU parted company with Allardyce and then struggled (for whatever reason) the "told you so" articles have already been written by every smug writer out there.

Having said all that, I agree with the headline of the article.

Dan, I agree that there are arguments for that, some of them I'd go along with.

My main problem with him is how divisive he is for our fans, which doesn't mean it's my only problem with him.

The excuses he can use, justifiably to a certain extent, is that with a few inuuries, we suddnely have limited depth to the squad. One more good summer of business should hopefully set us up well to push on.

I can't so easily say that he will always under-achieve. That is a bit too Mystic Meg for my liking. First things first, let's see how this season pans out, and who is available and willing to manage us next season.

Did he receive a brown envelope with a Canary Wharf postmark to write that article?

Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
Haha, well written. "Don't bother trying to make sense of it - it's complete gibberish...."

It's a fair viewpoint. But nothing will convert those that have chosen to hate him, or those who love him unconditionally.

Is there anyone left who would keep Sam next season?

Surely not?

>>> But surely it is no coincidence that every single club to have sacked Allardyce in the last two decades has ended up getting relegated within a handful of seasons.

It never ceases to amaze me how ppl cite that as a positive, missing the very obvious negative interpretation of the same fact.

VirginiaHam 1:33 Tue Mar 24
Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
Allardyce has divided opinion with in the fan base, but the fan base doesn't get to choose the next manager, the owners do.

IF we ship out Nolan, Jarvis, O'Brien and Cole and spend GBP30m on new, quality talent I can see us doing very well.

What Sullivan has done by taking control of the transfer business is ensured the squad belongs to the club, not the manager and I fully believe in this strategy.

As for BFS, some will never be happy, because they are football supporters who like nothing better than moaning. I'm on the fence....I've changed my mind a couple of times on what to do with him, but then again, "if you're not sure, don't do it".

The owners will get slaughtered if the change managers and we get relegated in our last season at the Boleyn.

"The owners will get slaughtered if the change managers and we get relegated in our last season at the Boleyn".

I think it is more than risky to leave him in charge. 7 points away from relegation last season. Relegation form since Christmas.

But you're never filling a 54000 seater playing Allardyce's brand of CUNTBALL. All the owners have to do is secure a good manager to replace him. This squad keeps itself up, there's no danger.

I shall be LIVID if we give him another contract.

WHU(Exeter) 1:54 Tue Mar 24
Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
Alex, plus there is the fact that they seem to totally ignore who was appointed afterwards.

The writers on the one hand propose that getting rid of him was a bad decision by those clubs boards, but ignore the fact that that 'bad' decision could then quite easily be repeated by those same Boards, in their following appointments.

Re: West Ham would "deeply regret letting Sam Allardyce go"
Currently Sunderland, Villa, Hull & a disinterested Newcastle amongst others are staying up. To be added to maybe Bournemouth, Watford & say Boro.
I think we can stay up with that lot , a better manager and some astute additions.
